How about this. Work it like the inheritance MP: Old uncle Kicks off,
leaves him
an estate.  However: Said uncle was a robber baron, or similar, and now
that he's dead,
 the vultures from the local revenooers are moving in. To complicate
matters, the house is

A: A living house, from RVCII.
B: Haunted.
C: A cursed relic in its own right: Whoever owns it has the bad luck
hindrance.
