That's an interesting idea about the character leaving a part of him/herself
in the Hunting Grounds in order to gain power. Perhaps the character has to
do so in order to "make room" for a stronger connection to the Manitou, or
maybe it's just the Manitou's price. In any case, the character might gain
the Night Terrors Hinderance, as part of his soul is tormented nightly by
the denizens of the Hunting Grounds. Perhaps when he gets a backlash, he
begins losing touch with reality, a la Mad Scientists. Maybe he loses a
little more of his soul to the Hunting Grounds, which sets up the
possibility of Dominion rolls. It'd be a neat adventure for the posse, once
they figure out what's going on, to have to carry the character's
Manitou-controlled body into the Hunting Grounds and fight (or deal) for the
character's soul.
