I found that interesting pieces of source material for the Earp/Clanton
era (c. 1880's) could be found in a couple of books:

_Wyatt Earp: The Life Behind the Legend_ (Tefertiller) -- This one's
great for putting Earp's life into perspective, but also has an
excellent grasp of the the political and social characteristics of
Tombstone at the time.  Since the DL chronology is sped up a little in
regards to Tombstone, I think it would be useful...

_John Ringo_ (Burrows) -- This is just an interesting little book about
Johnny Ringo. A much more realistic version of the man and the events
surrounding his life, this book has some good info on Tombstone as well.
