[DL] HELP! (Ross' players do not read!)

Not being a massive fan of mad scientists, I have never picked up the S&R
catalogue.  I am now in a huge jam, however, as a new player wants to play
someone with the kind of background that, frankly, only works if appended
to the family of someone in the S&R hierarchy.

Then I started thinking, 'evil self, what if she was the
daughter/niece/whatever of one of the two principals (Smith & Robards)?
Then she'd have to tie up at least some of her Edges in family connections
I can promptly keep her away from given where we're going, and strike fear
into the hearts of the other players as well!'  (Ross' other players, quit
peeking!)

In short, what are these two fellows' domestic situations, and where (other
than City o' Gloom, which I own but am away from for a few days) are they
described?

The more info you can provide, the happier I'd be.
