When, after a purchase/merger/takeover/whatever, a company is allowed to
keep its staff, there is generally very little noticeable change. 
Should Hasbro/WotC take over PEG, however indirectly, there will be no
drastic drop in product quality provided PEG's staff remains untouched.

I say this with confidence because both companies (WotC and PEG) are
interested in making money.  If they are on the right track, they will
continue to make money.

Also, should WotC offer PEG's staff One Billion Dollars each to sell all
their stock in the company and let WotC take over writing the product,
we'd all have to forgive them for taking the deal :)

I remember back when I first interviewed Shane Hensley on The Sixth
Bullet.  I asked him if he was planning The Big Secret to boost sales of
Deadlands.  And he replied:

"Yeah. I plan on becoming a millionaire in the roleplaying business.
Come on. I think that's happened like, once."

Keep getting in the sack with the big players, Shane, and you might get
there.
