Re: [DL] Reflect Hex (Goff)

Not at all. Bodyguard has a duration. Reflect must be cast every single
time, making the odds of succeeding on a given attack lower and increasing
the odds for backlash.

Tactically, Bodyguard allows the huckster to spend his other actions on
offensive acts. Reflect, on the other hand, requires him to keep an action
in reserve at all times _in case_ his opponent slings a spell at him.

Bodyguard protects against pretty much everything, whereas Reflect only
works against spells (Voodoo, black magic, and soon blood magic) and hexes.

If you pare it down to the instances where Reflect is effective and assume
success, then yes, it is more powerful. However, it's along the same lines
as comparing a rifle to a shotgun in the game. The vast majority of the time
the rifle is the better choice (better range, larger magazine, and most of
the time better damage), but you can site an example where a shotgun is more
effective (close/contact range).

Hope that eases the concern,
