[DL] Purgatory

I've just seen a very, very odd movie which just SCREAMS Deadlands. Called
'Purgatory', with Sam Shepherd (and Eric Roberts, but never mind), it's
about a gang of thoroughly nasty outlaws (headed up by one 'Blackjack') who
are headed for the Mexico border - only to stumble across a lush green
valley with a small, quiet town in it. Quite apart from the strangeness of
its location, a lot of the residents seem very familiar - the sheriff bears
an uncanny resemblance to Wild Bill Hickok, the storekeeper's kinda like
Jesse James ("Only I'd imagined he was taller" "Yeah, that's what they said
in Tulsa") - and there isn't a gun to be seen. I won't spoil it (but hey,
it's not terribly difficult to figure out), but it's very stylish with a
fantastic final showdown: highly recommended.

And now for someone else to completely lay in to it.
