RE: [DL] Problem with e-book

Um, what sort of crack was I smoking, you may ask? I don't know, but I
meant WIndows 2000 in all cases.

Windows 200...Hmm, coming to an Ancient City near you!

I ordered Law Dogs as an ebook and ran into this same problem.

I could not access the disk from a Windows NT or Windows 200 PC. I could,
however, read it just fine from Windows 98/ME. It may be a Fat32/NTFS
collision, but I doubt it. The NT/200 machines I used were also a little
old, and the CD-Roms may not have been able to read the burned disc
(especially ocmmon with re-writable discs). The problem with this second
idea is that my brand new re-writable drive on Windows 2000 cannot read it.

I even went so far as to email Lee Bansen for a replacement copy, before I
found it would work on my Windows ME machine. To his credit, I had the
replacement in 2 Days!

I recommend two things. First, try a machine running Windows 98/ME if you
haven't already. Otherwise, try a newer PC with a good CD-Rom that can read
Re-Writable discs.

I don't know what it is, but that's how I got it to work. Once you find a
PC it'll read on, I reccomend immediately copying them to the hard drive and
then burn your own copies.
