My posse uses a plastic black cauldron-- you usually find them in abundance 
at All Saints' Eve time.  I hot glued a felt cover over the top with a slit 
cut in it (think the "Three Strikes Game" from The Price is Right and you 
get the idea).  It's worked very well for two years now.
