Re: [DL] Films and inspiration

I believe you're thinking of Wages of Fear, which was
later remade as Sorceror. Both are excellent films!

I recommend the TV show Twin Peaks, the intrigue alone
is worth it, but the strange mysticism that develops
is a good example of how to include the supernatural
into a campaign.
High Plains Drifter and Unforgiven are obvious
Eastwood films that could inspire you.
Though they aren't westerns, some movies that use good
plot devices or are just good examples of horror
settings are: Hellraiser, Ghostbusters, Phantasm,
Highlander, Se7en, and the X-Files series.
If you can stretch your imagination far enough, I'm
currently writing a deadlands adventure that borrows
heavily from Forbidden Planet.
Anything can be inspirational, it just depends on how
you use it.
good luck
