My posse has gained effective control of a Kansas town which has been
semilegally made part of the Confederacy (even though the town mayor is s
former Northen law dog!)... The posse's plan is to tip it back to
neutrality to increase the potential profits from such an enterprise.

The fact that there's a nasty artifact in the local mine that acts like a
pile of raw meat on werewolves has made this somewhat difficult though.
I'm considering an actual army of recruited indian braves working with the
wolves... A hybrid between a tribe, a pack, and an army.
