Right.
But all things being equal, going first gives you an advantage really only 
in the first round.  It gives you the edge - once.  


It's the cyclical nature of D20 actions - everything comes first circle.  
After your swing, I get one, and then you get another, and then I get one 
back and then like clockwork you get the next one and then I swing back 
and then your go. . .
