Nothing at all.  I personally like mechanics that have consistancy.

Totally agree.  The WW Storyteller system is another good example -
players look at new WW games and go "What did they change THIS time?"
instead of "How do I play THIS game?"

<I hope Savage Worlds is like this, rather than another GURPS>

At the risk of turning this into another SW list, that appears to be the
direction of it (a more thematic 'generic' system).
