RE: [DL] Props Questions

We draw chips from a cowboy hat, and drink IBC root beer while we game. I've also been known to "threaten" the characters with a prop replica peacemaker when they step out of line.

Subject: Re: [DL] Props Questions

Hi Everybody,

After being a long standing player and "greener" horn Marshal I have found that the introduction of certain props to the tabletop can make all the difference with the atmosphere of a game. I was just wondering what other Marshals might have forked out good money for little trinkets to keep their possee happy? More to the point, how does it work for you guys?

my personal list is below, along with the desired efect.

Marshals Hat (ok it's an old weater beaten thing that don't fit right, i'm saving for a stetson), When yer wearin this, people know whos in charge, it's gamin time.

Tin Star, just enhances the hat really!!

Tin Cups fer yer bevrages, nothing makes that coffee (Dr Pepper) taste more full of trail dust than good old tin cups.

Poker Chips, kinda goes without saying.

A roulette Wheel fer the casino scenes, not as expensive to get hold of as you might think, check ebay.

My little Hellraiser Dice Box, a perfect replica of the box from the film, scares the posee without any help from me.

My harmonica, Deaths instrument of choice

And finally, a cheap packet or two of cowboys and indians plastic figures for positioning.

Let me know what you guys use, either as a one off or continuously.

Regards,

Peter King
