i believe what mr. mcglothlin meant, is that you must have:
the arcane background: shootist, and at least 1 level in academia: occult
and 1 level in hexslingin'.

basiclly thats 5 points spent.

just like a huckster, but with a different AB.

also, the shootist needs to choose wheather he/she uses rifle, pistol,
shotgun or automatic.
i had a shootist in 1 posse that was a marksman, with a 1 shot rifle.. i
forget which model. he had a belogin's rifle and scope,
and would speed load the rifle and shoot every action, or at least every
turn, and do called head shots.

         My apologies for the earlier, totally wrong post--22 straight
hours at the keyboard will do that to you.;-)

         What I really, really meant was Aptitude: Shootist, which is
pretty much their version of hexslingin'.

         My apologies for posting before I thought earlier--back to Mutants
& Masterminds for me.
