Well, since I know the person who runs Stellarcon - I
would reccomend that one.....

It is typically not a heavy gaming con though. 
However there is not Deadland currently scheduled. 
Check Stellarcon.org for updated details.  So go to
Techicon, enjoy....

OTOH, they also run a gaming only convention called
MACE.  It too is in High Point, and last time they ran
a Deadlands Live Action!  Steve Long is also often a
guest there.  They are also trying to get some other
Pinnacle names there.  It is held at the end of
November.

Still...  Blacksburg???  Go Hoos not Hokies ;-)
