RE: [DL] Damn them Players

Do some universe hopping… Last Weekend my group of DnD player’s got extremely cocky. So when they entered a certain room in my dungeon I made them set off a trap that sealed them up. They all failed their will saves. When they woke up they were no longer in the dungeon. They found themselves in the middle of a dessert with two metal bars running like a road in either direction as far as they could see. There are wooden planks placed under the bars.

What they haven’t learned yet is that they have been transported to the Weird West. Talk about being out of place.

I’m sure that if you wanted to you could some something similar in reverse. Send your posse on a short trip into to the DnD universe. I bet if they ran into an ancient Red Dragon you could whip them into shape… or at least whip them, what ever you desire most. Of course you could go the other way as well. What do you think they would do if they stepped through a strange looking metal doorway and found themselves in the corridors of the Starship Enterprise.

Just an idea.

Of course you could always have them run into Stone. I’m sure he could put them in their place.

Subject: [DL] Damn them Players

Looking for tricks of the trade.  Ways to trick players and make them feel like they have been had (well... just before they put a bullet into the bad guy).  Any stories or ideas are welcome.  My players are getting cocky and I want to throw one by them.
