Re: [DL] Lalaurie Floor Plans?

Thanks for this, it was indeed a decent springboard for other searches.
I've picked up some pictures of the inside of the Hermann-Grima House
and various floor plans for Georgian style houses. From that lot I
should be able to cobble together some decent floor plans for the
group.

The reason I'm looking for this information and how I plan to use the
LaLaurie house is as follows

S
P
O
I

LaLaurie was indeed a evil woman and her acts left their mark. However
her actions, the storming of the mob etc has given the house a
particular vibe that makes it the most dreaded house in New Orleans. I
figure this makes it a prime candidate for being a Living House (as per
RVC2). In my game the building was left empty for a long number of
years following the hasty evacuation of the LaLaurie family, however
was been bought a couple of years ago by an ambitious French Creole
family who wanted a French Quarter home and to gain instant notoriety
on the New Orleans social ladder. The Living House slowly exerted it's
control over the family, mainly through the lady of the house. This
has led to those living in the house gaining a hatred of anyone that
isn't white ultimately (and even snooty to people who are white - but
not French Creole). The Living House has effectively taken control of
the lady of the house until she has reached the point where she has
recreated LaLaurie's attic and is conducting patchwork science style
experiments - but on the living (as well as the dead).

Through a separate plot lead the posse have been led to the house and
are considering entry to try and discover what went on. They are
vaguely aware of the houses past and know of it's reputation for the
screams of the haunted to echo from it's depths.

It could be quite a chilling end to this part of their adventures in
New Orleans.
