This hero has officially took part if the fight againest Santa Anna's
army, he was one the reason his army was defeated. Officially in Deadlands
they never fully explained how he was defeated he just was,
Actually, Santa Anna hasn't suffered any major defeats recently. He's still
in California kicking up a ruckus. He's had trouble bringing his forces to
bear due to the difficulty of maneuvering a large army in the Maze;
ironically, this may have saved him from crippling defeats at Palo Alto,
Resaca de la Palma, Monterray, and Buena Vista. Though he lost each of these
battles, his committed forces were small enough at each to keep the bulk of
his forces in fighting trim.
In short, we've never fully explained how Santa Anna was defeated because
*wasn't*. With the addition of enough reinforcements lately to nearly double
his deployed forces in the Maze, as well La Ejercito De Los Muertos, he may
be in a position to conquer the Maze for Emperor Maximilian.
And if he succeeds there, Maximilian's going to give him a shot at the brass
ring: Texas.
