[haggis] A different approach...



How would it affect the dynamics of the game if everyone was dealt only one
"color" card at the beginning of the game?

If we had the same number of colors as players, then everyone would have a
monopoly on their color.  Getting a straight would be tough and require a
lot of trades.

If the rules were dealt out so that you didn't know any rules relating to
your color, would that make you more or less likely to trade?

With this beginning point, rules about small sets (each set of 2 reds, 1
green, and 1 yellow is worth N points) might encourage the most trades.

If we knew which color each player had a monopoly on, we'd probably NOT want
to let them know the rules that relate to their color.

What does everyone think?
