Re: [HoE] So, who's on?

In a message dated 98-08-20 20:39:39 EDT, you write:

abominations/monsters/etc. did not come out between 1876 and 2081?

That seems a bit of a stretch. >>

is it? there are still real facts in history that a good portion of people
don't know about. Hell, 98% of Americans consider Slavery the right answer to
the question "what was the Civil War about"

>>I gotta agree with junior, here.
If/when you get the main HoE book, the Prospector's talking about how historical facts aren't matching with what he has in print. Which can mean a LOT of things. Point is, EVERYBODY is having trouble with how this all worked out, no one's sure WHAT happened back then, and to be honest, if I told you my great-great-grandfather fought demons in the Wild West you'd laugh your ass off at me. At best, I'd be a liar, at worst, a lunatic, if I started believing stuff like that.

Besides, things quieted down a bit, if I remember. The world concentrated on other things, like World Wars and the day-to-day existence of living in a busy world. Start 9-5ing and you'll see months blur past your bored, tired face. Ta-da! 200yrs later, we got Hell on Earth.
