I agree.  I just hope that Wasted West has a LOT of pre-Big Bang tech,
lifestyle, etc. information.  Some people may think that a post-apocalyptic
RPG doesn't need to dwell very much on the Day Before.  I disagree,
especially when the technology is 80+ years beyond our own.

But it's even worse, because Deadlands had a background we were familiar
with.  Understanding important setting issues (like tech levels) wasn't an
issue, because the background id 95% Wild West History.  In HoE, we have to
combine an alternate past with a 100 year gap, make many assumptions as to
hew technology advanced to our timeline, and then project all of that 100
years into the future!

Way too many leaps of faith for me!
