The impression I got was that Hucksters basically no longer exist. Kinda 
hard to gamble with a manitou secretly and get it to cast a spell when 
they are actually on the same plane as you. And can you imagine how 
people would react?
Any hucksters that might still be around are not casting hexes!

I dunno, Lucky.  I heard from the folks at PEG that they're still 
around, only rarer.  The intro to HoE has a better explanation of it, in 
the intro section after the Prospector's Story.

With the big Bang over, and mankind laid to waste, books WOULD be rare, 
and that would mean that there's less of an opportunity to have Johnny 
Hexslinger pick up a copy of Hoyle's and start casting.  But I'd imagine 
there WERE some out there.  The manitou still inhabit harrowed people 
and therefore SHOULD still be able to be tricked into service by the 
Hucksters out there.

So, yeah, Hucksters are still out there, just not as plentiful as the 
rest of the archetypes in the Wasted West.
