I'm not sure that you've quite followed what I was asking.
I'll put it in point form.
- Touch can cure damage
- As a by-product of this touch cause radiation scarring (ugly as sin)
- Tolerance avoids radiation damage

Can tolerance be used to avoid the radiation scarring that is usually 
caused by touch?

Still RE: Lost Colony.
Will it be a departure from the Western genre as such or will you 
stick with it?
or are you undecided (or not telling at this stage)?
