[HoE] Dinner at Doomsayer's Palace?

One of Tim Power's earlier books, Dinner at Deviant's palace is set in a
post apocolyptic world, with weird creatures, psychic phenomena, and a
dangerous cult with an insane charismatic mutant for a leader...Seems like
a good possibility for story ideas. Perhaps a group of "good" mutants hire
the posse to retrieve their children that have been brainwashed into
joining Silas' cult...
