[HoE] Really kewl research book

"Tourist Traps from Hell"

I don't know if anybody else has this book, or if its still being published,
but back in '92 Simon and Schuster Fireside publishing put out a book called
"The NEW Roadside America". If you spot it, grab it quick, cuz this has to be
one of the best possible collections of HoE inspiration ever. It is a massive
book fulla' all these slammin' tourist traps, and reasonably detailed
descriptions of them. Lots of ideas for relics and adventures here. Like the
fact that Einstein's brain currently resides in Weston Missouri, Or the
"Oregon Vortex", in Gold Hill Oregon. The laws of physics go nutty here, and
one dude named John Lister studied it for more than forty years,
corresponding with Einstein, and then burned all his notes before he died. His
words were "The world isn't ready yet for what goes on here."

Like I said, good stuff.

(Not to mention the whole section on Wall Drug South Dakota. Actually, you
should go there yourself. Probably the ultimate HoE location.)
