Re: [HoE] Wasted West Observations...

I'll go for that.

I have one player who will almost certainly use it if his soldier bites it.
He had a character just like it in a PA game a few months back. Game ended
badly. I could see him trying the character in this. I did really like 'How
to Serve Your Man.' Almost laughed my... er... hat off.
>Hockey Sticks and Golf Clubs: Casey Jones lives!!! :)
Dang straight!! Ooh, gotta use him some time. I've already got plans for a
big Rob Zombie vs Flying Elvises war taking place near/around the
characters' area. Yes, it's a bit silly (at least until you think about a
harrowed Rob Zombie), but the more realistic/dramatic points should offset
that. Sorta. Yes, I'm in a wierd mood these days. : }
>The "Ripper": Excuse me while I go hide in the corner here...
Hm... let me see. Didn't read that bit yet.

Hully crap. Ngn. Ouch. Not lettin' them get aholda that one. maybe for a
big baddie, though. I can see their expressions now (5D20 AP2!?!?!?!). : }
I very much appreciated the extras for guns, particularly the accessories.
I have one player who has already been asking about some of it.
Also appreciated the radio and fuel notes. More vehicles would have been
nice, but not really necessary. I was surprised that the hovercycle floats,
not flies. The impression I got from the main book pics (particularly pg
94) was that they could, in effect fly. I suppose the one on 94 could just
be 'booster jumping.'
>Powered Armor: Gee, I wish there'd been some pictures of these suits

Yeah. The Wolverine's kinda blocky/clunky lookin' for an advanced suit,
t'me, but I suppose it fits the genre. Hmmm... maybe the suit on page 8 of
the rulebook is the Purgatory suit. They're probably Hellstromme's marines
in the picture (Sgt J Stryker).
>Archetypes: LOVE the picture of the Sawbones!
Just noticed now that she appears on page 104 of the rulebook as well. Cool.

Hard to get PCs involved with it unless they know about it already, though.

That whole create-a-wormling thing is gross. Now just have to figure where
to use it.
Loved the S-Mart bits.
Maybe I'll run a 'Day of the Dead' session. One of the few zombie movies I
had fun watching.
The bit on Raven was nice. Well, not for Raven. Man, is he ever going to
have a grudge. Wonder how ya go puttin' 'im down? : }
