I think it's more of a prelude. There are no mentions of anouks in Wasted
West at all, and someone official earlier mentioned that none of them were
on Earth (ie- they weren't the horrific things that attacked the Unity (I
think that was the ship's name). They'll be Lost Colony material, I
imagine. I think there is mention of the Unity still being around up there
in orbit, possibly with people on it (not sure on that point, need to read
it over again).

Yep. Nice topographical (I think that's the right word, my memory is really
wonky at times) map. Even has the old state boundaries IIRC.

Yep. All in all, a very nice book, IMNSHO.
