[HoE] Re: Litigation & Such
I'm surprised PEG didn't look at the problem with the Pinkerton
Detective Agency sooner. When Weezer released the "Pinkerton" album a
few years ago ('95 I think) they got sued, even though they were
referring to a character from a Gilbert and Hammerstein musical (don't
ask me which one). Considering the way they're dipicted in Deadlands
(the perpetrators of massive governmental conspiracy to hide the
existence of the supernatural from the public, as well as spying on
the South), this would seem a far more litigous issue.
And while we're on the topic, it seems a little extreme from our
corner of the globe to even contemplate sueing someone over a font. We
hear rumours of the litigation happy nature of the US, but if this is
a serious statement, it seems they have been understated.
