	I think the secrets are being slowly let out and others replaced.  Every 
book has both secrets revealed and new secrets.
	Hey Guy, what does this little child of Pestilience do?  I could 
see much hooror in that.  I seen 'Screamers', I know that little kids, 
like eyeballs and spiders, are patently scary.
	I'm in England and I wonder if any of you have read David 
Gemmel's Jon Shannow novels (The Jerusalem Man)?  They, like Stephen King's 
Gunslinger 
novels, are good examples of that ever so rare genre of post-apocalyptic 
Westerns.  
	From the above, I actually had me an idea of what Skinnies are 
and how to get strain back into banshee stones.  I think the Anouks, in 
order to fight off the settlers, made a deal with a very unsavory power 
who granted some of them the ability to become skinnies.  Like all 
things, this had a price.  Skinnies quite simply feed off of the life 
force and power of the Anouks around them.  They're like diabolic yet 
powerful high priests.  I predict they deal in blood and death.  I bet 
them banshee stones are something grim like the crystalized heart of a 
sacrificial victim and they can be recharged by blood from a living 
sacrifice.
