I am pretty sure you have the option of dodging hand to hand attacks
too.

I do something along these lines, If you want to dodge for teh rest of
the
round (ie all attacks) then throw all your cards and you are dodging. If
you just want to dodge this set of attacks, then just throw your highest
card. btw, I dont tell the players who is getting shot, just shots are
coming your way.

I would have said that by throwing yourself around, you make it harder
for
anyone that is trying to shoot you, but you may want to change this in
the
case of automatic fire or even use something similar to the bystander
rules.
