Re: [HoE] Re: The Huckster Dilemna

Ah, someone who agrees with me. Thought I was going nuts... :)

Hmmm, this seems workable.

You mean up one per success, _plus_ the extra cards you get to draw due to
Raises. Sounds a bit powerful. Maybe if the Huckster could choose (before
drawing cards) whether he wants to use his raises to draw extra cards _or_
raise a successful hex a level...?

Not sure what you mean by this.

Strength sounds a bit much, given the odd variables involved. Did you mean
range/duration? Most of them are sufficient as are. Also, I'd think more
powerful Manitous would mean...well, blunter powers. Don't think they'd be
likely to contribute as much to more "delicate" things like duration.
Range, maybe.

I'm not familiar with this one: where is it from?

Unfortunately, I'm tempted to go this route as well, at least for a Veteran
Huckster: he's had 200+ years to "get acquainted" with more powerful
Manitous, and doesn't suffer their downside effects as much.

However, the overall approach that Pinnacle is taking here is what bothers
me. If they want Hucksters to be unviable, I wish they'd just say that,
rather than waste space with rules that do the same thing.
