[HoE] Anti Templars - Who Cares?

It may have got buried in my last post, but to make it clear.

_Every_ arguement against Anti-Templars, even if perfectly true and they are
evil incarnate and players can _never_ try to portray them as a force for
good turning the powers of the Reckoners against them, is irrelevant.

A player may simply have his Templar disregard the Templar oath. If he took
the Heroic Hindrance, even the most rationale, not-trying-to-be-a-munchkin
player could come up with a circumstance pretty easily (see lots of previous
examples, like friendly Chosen) where he would be justified in doing this,
IMO.

At this point he is blackballed (or removed from the game as a PC, but
nobody has yet explained why removing a PC because they played in character
is a good or desireable thing, and I'm arguing for those folks who made a
good faith effort to play Templars, not Munchkins). However, he does _not_
lose his powers. Pinnacle is quite clear on this. He is, in short, a
Templar without Templar responsibilities.

Now, whether he becomes an Anti-Templar or not is irrelevant. He won't gain
new stuff, but depending on where he's at, it may not matter. And it's a
moot point again. He has Templar abilities (even if he can't get new ones)
without Templar responsibilities.

It almost seems to me that the key point, if folks are really concerned
about the whole "abilities w/o responsibilities" thing, is that Templar
abilities absolutely, cannot, be stripped. If that's your beef, then
providing Simon with some non-"official" way of doing this would be in
order.

Anti-Templars could keep their lesser powers, but at this point they should
get corruption, or more likely have a chance of gaining it, for using any of
those as well. This would not be their rolling for a moral choice that is
for role-playing purposes best left to the player himself, but a simple
Marshall roll of X triggering Y.
