My posse came up with this idea while discussing the "derivitiveness" of HoE.
We noted that the only "apocalypse" movie that we hadn't seen HoE borrow from
was Planet of the Apes.  It was then that I thought about Brainburners, and the
line "Get your filthy hands off me, you damn dirty Grapes!" came to mind.  It
sort of all fell together from there.

I just had a thought.  What if the tunnel goes into the far-distant past,
not the future.  What if it goes to a pre-humanity earth?  What if it opens
on a previous time the reckoners were active on earth?

Here's the big one:

What if the cackler was a Harrowed from the earth population of Banshee who
survived until the Weird West?
