Actually, I believe there is occasional mention that the bodies mummify as 
well.  One "encounter" i recall being described somewhere is of the Posse 
encountering a traffic jam with all the corpses just...watching them.  
Eyeballs rolling in the head to track them, etc.  Which kinda implies the 
corpses are more than just skeletons.

Actually, just used that last night during the Posse's jaunt to St. Louis.  
Definitely creeped them out...
