[HoE] Re: Problem with Skyers
<< I have a problem: My girlfriends character is a skyer from Banshee, a
firewalker to be exact. She has fortitude and a banshee stone and is a
verteran of the weird west. This character is pretty bad ass and she hasnt
cheated or anything and its just a beginnig character. She has a strain of
10 but that damn fortitude and the banshee stone thing make her very nasty.
I cant figure out how to deal with her char, I mean she just fries
everything. How do I make combat a challenge for this char without squashing
her and making everything fire resistant or resistant to her abilities in
the first place? I mean I keep thinking that the reason the good guys are
more nasty in HOE is because the bad guys are and that there is a fear level
EVERYWHERE but her char majorly whopped some ass on some villians who I
thought would be tougher. >>
As someone else mentioned, throw some mooks at her to pull off some of that
strain.
Also (and I'm surprised that no-one mentioned this) get sneaky. How about a
bad guy who's also a psycher and one who she has an oath not to tangle with?
Or maybe there are some civilians in the line of fire, or at least some good
salvage if she doesn't care about bystanders.
Don't forget the careful application of squad tactics. A little planning and
cooperation on the part of the NPCs can make them a lot tougher.
