Too true about the epic campaign. 'Course, we have to wait until
Hopler/Shane says where the Reckoners are. Gathering forces to fight off
the Walkin' Dead, Plague Zombies, et cetera would also be an integral
part. I'm sure whoever's leading the Templar's then [my bet's Jo, and we
all know Simon isn't going to hang on very much longer. 'Boise Horror'
next year?] will jump at the chance. Safe to say, the PC's will probably
all die, but will be immortalized in tales that will spread across the
world, forcing the remaining Reckoners to expend more energy, et cetera.
One thing though, it would have to be a permanent effect and hit a lot
of people at once. I don't think anyone can permanently gush love.
Negative point, gushing love and refusing to defend themselves makes for
easy pickin's. Better to make a device that actually removes fear and
creates the emotion that is associated with bravery. If it makes
everyone permanently brave, there's no more fear.
Bad side, fear is a defense mechanism and keeps you from getting hurt a
lot.
Another Bad Side, can they keep this quiet from the Reckoners and will
Stone be able to find the Junker who is building the device?
Plus side, if it works, no more Reckoners. Killing one will show people
that it's not hopeless and that they can die [like Pestilence's horse. I
bet they were real pissed about that].

I don't think that the Reckoners can feel love. Probably just hatred
and rage. Maybe they don't feel at all.
Personally, I think that even though they've expended so much energy to
come into the physical world and send Stone back in time, I think
they're way too powerful for one device to work against them [remember
in 'Brainburners' when they talked about a number of bad-ass, hardcore
Banshee Sykers tossing Brain Blast at Pestilence and the thing just
looking at them and causing them to immediately contract a disease akin
to Ebola Zaire on Methedrine?] Being the incarnates of Pestilence,
Famine, War, and Death; I don't think just one Junker device is going to
do the job. It's going to take most of the people in the world standing
up and fighting back against them.
However, if the Junker somehow managed to transmit the waves like radio
signals, even though radio waves must be picked up by a transmitter to
be heard, they're still there, and was on real REAL good terms with
ComSat and ComSat allowed them to transmit the waves to it and it spread
them out to the other satellites it controls. Or maybe the Junker could
transmit the schematics and plans to other Junkers through the Net [if
he's got a Computer Browser].
Still, I think it's going to take more than even every good Junker in
the world to pull this off. Probably even take several lifetimes.
But, that's just my opinion, I talk a lot, and I'm a Party-Pooper....
