[HoE] Junker Weapon: Spirit Bow
I just read the Junkman Cometh book (I had it since it came out, but
didn't have a HOE campaign so I didn't bother with it) and have created
my first Junker item with it and I would like the list to critique my
weapon and make sure that I am doing it correctly...I think I am.
The idea comes from the early days of the list when HOE had just come
out. Someone wanted to make a weapon like the on from the old Dungeon
and Dragons cartoon. This magical bow could shoot and endless supply of
"energy arrows."
APPEARANCE:
This weapon appears much like any other Composite hunting bow you
might have bought at your local S-Mart. It has been modified to include
electronic components attached to and in the shaft of the weapon.
DESCRIPTION:
When the user of this weapon pulls back on the bow's string
electronics activate that discharge a spirit battery causing a energy
bolt to appear in the place of an arrow. This energy bolt can be shot as
a normal arrow.
In addition the bow has a second abiilty that it can be set to
discharge more energy from the spirit battery releasing a bolt of pure
spiritual energy. It has a Spirit Battery of 180.
Spirit Bow. Standard 4d8 damage, Speed 1, ROF 1. Range
Increment 10. Drain of 2.
Special 4d8 damage, Speed 1,
ROF 1. Range Increment 10. Drain of 16.
CONSTRUCTION:
I figure it is a Frame Size of 3. (Rifle)
This cost 7 Structure Components, has 31 slots, and a Durability of 6/2
and a Load of 2.
Using the Junker Power Flash Gordon I create the Standard Shot.
4d8 damge is an Ammo size of .8 For a Speed 1, ROF 1. coxt 3 x .8=
2.4 Slots. The range Increment of 10 cost 4 x .8= 3.2 The total slot
cost of this power is 5.6 The Drain is ammo size .8 x 2=1.6 which rounds
to 2.
It requires 5.6 x .2 Electrical components, this is 1.12 which
rounds to 2 Electrical components.
It requires 5.6 x .1 Mechanical components, this is .56 which rounds
to 1 Mechanical component.
The TN to construct this power is a TN 7+Frame size of 1= 8.
Using the Junker Power of Spirit Weapon I create the Spiritual Shot.
The total slot cost is the same as above. The Drain of 1.6 is
multiplied by 10 which gives 16.
It requires 2 Electrical components (the same as above.)
It requires 5.6 x .2 Mechanical components, this is 1.12 which
rounds to 2 Mechanical components.
The TN to construct this power is a TN 9+Frame size of 1=10.
The selector to switch between shots takes 1 slot.
The 180 charge Spirit Battery takes 18 slots.
TOTALS:
The total. slots are 5.6 + 5.6 + 1 + 18= 30.2 slots.
It takes a total of 7 Structural, 4 Electrical, and 3 Mechanical
components.
It takes 2d6 hours to build.
