[HoE] Re: The Timeline

There is one other possibility to consider. The
HoE books have noted historical discrepancies before.
The HoE history books don't agree as to when the Civil
War ended and nobody knows when the Mason-Dixon wall
was actually built. Perhaps the tech isn't as advanced
as we'd expect . . . perhaps that's because of Mad
Science mucking with real scientific exploration. (Why
fund the Wright brothers research when Smith & Robards
can provide you with an ornithopter right now?)
Or maybe it's not 2094 at all. The Reckoners
might have managed to pull off some sort of trick that
has people thinking it's 2094, when time really hasn't
gone that far.
Of course, it's also possible that the strain of
sending Stone back in time has caused the timeline to
begin to fragment and fray. The past and the future
could be quietly rushing in on the now as the world
heads for some massive temporal calamity . . . you
know, that could make an interesting campaign.
