Until the temporal collision occurs. And it's not
something to avoid really, is it?

Picture the scene:-

2094
"Ah ha! We nip back in time to stop the Reckoners
sending Stone back in time to create this whole mes in
the first place."

The Past
"Woo hoo! We've killed Stone, and wiped out that
temporal collision the diverging timeline would
otherwise have... damn!"
"I know! We'll go back to the future and stop
ourselves from going back in time to stop Stone from
going back in time to change history so that
everything goies to Hell!"

The Future

"Woo hoo! We've killed ourselves to stop ourselves
from going back in time to kill Stone before he can go
back in time to change the future and make us have to
go back in time to kill him! Or something! We've
done it"
"Hey, didn't we just time-travel and change things?"
"Damn!"

*tinkle* - as reality collapses.

=====
So now let us sing of what remains
There will be stillness in our hearts
There will be sweetness in our lives
By and by...
