Re: [HoE] Dr. Pepper? What about Jolt?
Surge is all fun and games, as is Dr. Pepper, and Tab. But, what of my
personal favorite, and probably highly radioactive, JOLT COLA!!! In fact,
now that I think about it, this should be something that really boosts Syker
powers....hmmmm, a new drug. :) Let's see, brainstorm..........
Jolt Cola
Affects: Jolt works by overloading the synapses. By increasing the
amount of active endorphines, in the system, it gives a syker the ability to
perform two syker powers per action at a cost of one additional strain point
for the action. Not very useful in the long run, but if the brain-burner
needs some pounding action going on, then drink one down, and watch him
go!!!
While under the influences of Jolt, your chrome-dome, is suffering from
what appears to be manic dementia. He can't hold still, can't seem to focus
his thoughts, etc, etc. Basically, he acts like he's on over-load. This
means, all brain-burn rolls should add a +5 to the rolls. Also, regaining
strain, takes twice as long, only 1 every 2 hours, until the syker takes a
nappy. And no, the syker can't meditate whiles he's twitching.
The drink takes about 2-8 minutes to set in, and lasts for 10- 30
minutes. Plenty of time for some fun. Heh, heh. So take your caffeine
overdose, polish your dome, and get ready to fry some muties.
Well, there's my two 9mm, on the drink discussion. Let me get some
feedback, pardners.
Jason Adkins
Addiction. A syker grows to love the enhanced abilities of course.
But, otherwise it's hard to actually become addicted. If the brainer uses
jolt more than twice in one day, the character needs to make a vigor roll
vs. 9, or develop a mild hankerin' to the stuff.
