I wasn't talking to you, Ashley, I was talking to the other guys here. I
can TOTALLY understand if a girl got offended at seeing the UR cover, but it
just seemed a tad hypocritical to me that some of the males here got all
up-in-arms over something that you said only MILDLY bothered you, being a
woman. I just felt like the guys were making a huge deal over something
that was basically a total irrelevancy, given all the mindless crap that's
on TV and everywhere else.
I'm really sorry you've had some bad experiences with guys, but don't assume
that every guy in the world has that attitude because that's not what I
meant at all. What I meant was that, speaking TO the GUYS here, is that
scantily clad women show up ALL THE TIME in roleplay books, so if you can't
take the heat (seeing that kind of thing) stay out of the kitchen (don't buy
the book if it offends you).
It just completely surprised me that everyone got all bitter over this cover
which I thought was racy, but tasteful, in my opinion. My post was directed
at the guys, so maybe I should've been more clear about it. I understand
why you'd be upset at something you viewed as the objectification of women,
but the guys...it seemed like hypocrisy, considering that the girl on the
cover wasn't even naked.
Anyway, whatever, can we please put this waste of e-space discussion to rest
now?
