[HOE] I said I'd pay!
Well, I had hoped for official rulings (Guess the PEG crew got tired o' me,
can't blame 'em!). But, like I said, I'd pay. Here it is! A brand new,
really old gun!!!
--{Begin Here}--
Browning M1919 A4:
Basically it is the Air Cooled version of the Browning M1917 (The gun whose
design was the basis for the M2HB, see Wasted West). Like its larger
brother, it is a venerable design that has gone through various minor
modifications over the years. Despite the fact that the basic design was
almost 150 years old, it was still in production (Albet in VERY small
numbers).
There are two forms of this gun to be found in the Wasted West. One has
either been made, or been modified, to fire the 7.62mm round of the Southern
Alliance, and uses the same 30-round belts that the SA SAW uses. It was
used primarily in training camps, but was also found on armored units by
officers that prefered to place their shots, rather than "Spray And Pray".
The other form is essentially unmodified from it's original form, even to
the point where it was still chambered in the same calibre, .30-06. These
guns were found predominantly in Militia units (Where less scrupilous units
often went hunting with their MG rounds!) around North America (Some of
these guns are old enough to have seen combat in Europe, even!). The
Militias that kept these guns were cheered upon by the civilians under their
care, due to the commonality of this round. It also uses a 250-round
disintigrating belt that can be clipped together, and is a popular weapon
with Road Vigilantes.

--{End Here}--
Oh, and for the person who asked, "ARE YOU CRAZY?"... Well, as one doctor
put it, in highly technical terms, "He's a loon.". :-)
Ray.
