Re: [HOE] Some New Weapons and Ammunition
sweet.. how about these ideas?
might have the damnation round cause temporary insanity as the evil spirit
runs trough the victims mind
depending on type:
TYPE Effect if the manitou posses the victim
HR1 causes an intense bout of homicidal rage during which the
victim takes damage as if harrowed
FC21 causes an intense fear of everything TN11(guts) or curl into a
foetal ball and gibber. if passed must run until a guts check is passed. the
manitou may make a opposed guts roll every round to increase the TN by one
SD8 as these round are fired the tortured souls reach out from
the hunting ground attempting to pull the manitou back into the realm of
fear. if the target get possessed they take the manitous spirit in Damage to
the guts (as wind) each round (on the 8 of clubs)
VM7 these rounds cause the victims to hear the voices of all
those killed by the Shooter, this causes a victim to be unable to hear any
thing until the next sunrise.(not so bad if your the first just don't get
hit by the ex-soldier), if unknown draw a random card and roll its
equivalent, BJ Legion the voices of all the dammed scream through your head
gain the Night terror hindrance, RJ all your family who are dead gain the
Night terrors hindrance but if you ever lose a blue chip you get some good
advice relating to the future
all these specialized types can be spotted on a TN11 trade:weaponsmith roll
Normal Damnation rounds on a TN15 (but must have ACC: occult of 3 or more)
As the CSA developed anti-Syker bullets the NA was busy working on depleted
Plutonium rounds to combat the CSA power armour. very few were made (20,000)
but they could be fired from any normal gun retrofitted with a lead mag and
Rifling TN7 Trade:gunsmith, TN11 Trade weaponsmith. they are effective at
punching through light armour but are best employed against vehicles and
power armour
the bullets add the AV of the target to each base die of damage and have an
APof 4 (e.g. targetAV7 from a rifle = 2d4+21 damage).
possession of these is a minimum of three points of belongings or membership
in R&D/logistics in the NA armed forces
Hex weapons
give the hex a reliability rating depending on the casters skill (base
18 + 1 per level hexslingin') which like Junker stability if over 20 is
subtracted from the backlash table
or make the backlash only occur if a joker is drawn twice in succession
for the hex
Love the idea of remotes. Very Dark Angel.. Just start building those AI
upgrade packages and Photo recognition sensors.
Drone Remote
desc. about 1' long by 3" Diameter cylinder leading to a tapered point at
one end and a hemisphere at the other, usually hover but some have a VTOL
capacity, Flight ceiling of 20m (hover) 1000m (Vtol) powered by long term
Mini-fusion batteries (100 drain/year over spending reduces next year max 4
year lifespan) all are capable of carrying 20kg of payload in either a
sling or Claw grapple
Game
Acc. H:20 VTol:30. Max spd. H240mph Vtol:260. Drain per hour/20mph H:1
Vtol:2
Size 2. armour -6 counts as a vehicle Durability 5/1
Usable range 1mile + 1 mile per raise on the Remote ops roll.
Cost: 6,000 (el cheapo reduces durability by 1 and Lifespan by 1 year per
25% reduction)
E.g. Belongings 3= Dur 3/1 lifespan 2years
New gear
Mini fusion battery
about 4" x 1" cylinder with a red 1/2 and a blue 1/2 in the middle is a
small plastic tab, remove tab to activate is clearly printed on the side. on
activation the battery grows faintly warm to the touch
Cost $1,000 unactivated $750 activated
when activated they have a Drain of 100 units per year (total drain of 400)
a normal battery will power a transistor radio for 4 years before it expires
Plot hook: rumours abound that the British had developed a more advanced
form of the mini-fusion battery one capable of being used as both a battery
and an explosive device, and that some officers in the British contingent of
NA forces were issued combat packs (five batteries in a plastic case) along
with a detonator. (if true these things could do somewhere on the region of
5d30massive damage each with a burst radius of 100yrds.. any excuse to use
my d30)
