Actually the rules cover this. I did this wrong in the beginning too:
Body Control doesn't up a stat. It only adds to rolls for that stat. So if
the syker has a 4d8 quickness (like mine did) and gets 2 successes then
her quickness doesn't go up to 4d12, it goes up to 4d8+4.
So vigor would go up to say 3d8+4 with two successes. Since his vigor die
type is still d8's his strain remains the same.
