I would have to guess that each of the three spikes would do damage as a 
spear wielded with a 3d12 Strength.  Toss is 1 level of AP to reflect that 
these things are supposed to be imbedded in the ground and another d6 for 
the lateral spikes.

So (3d12)+3d6 AP 1

Just remember that if he is on the back of something - he is stuck there - 
you know, in case the Rattler decides to roll over or something. :)
