Nah - sound. I can see a posse waiting in ambush for the automaton hunting
them, only to hear
"Now for a bit of the ultra-violent. Come and get one in the yarbles if
you have any yarbles. . . "

The look on the players' faces alone would be worth it. Especially if
they've been successful in stomping several automatons previously.

There was a Berserker story some time ago where drone fighters were loaded
with the personalities of famous fighter pilots and aces. Perhaps the
Denver AI is experimenting with ways to increase the efficiency of the 'bots.

Let the party meet a few more automatons until they become convinced that
the first one was an aberration - and then. . .

"Would you happen to have any fava beens? A chiati?"

or one gets shot
"That's not very sporting-like!"

Or even
"Ours is the superior intellect." which may throw the group for a bit
until the death speech before a REALLY big self-destruct bomb goes off. . .

"To the last I will grapple with thee!
No... You can't get away... From hell's heart I stab at thee...
For hate's sake... I spit my last breath at thee!"
