so as an idea how about this item:

Daniel J jacksons 's Energy removal ray
Powers used Flash gordon, Brain drain "rad battery" spirit weapon
Flash gordon to create the item
spirit weapon to avoid physical armour
braindrain/rad battery to absorb strain

can be used to shoot slower than light powers out of the air as a vamoose
absorbs damage in strain
you can crunch the numbers yourselves this is just an idea not a blueprint

or as the original thread
Dr Daniel j Jacksons Energy shunt shield
make an energy and spirit hardend shield but multiply the slots by two and
halve the drain this accommodates the electronics and gubbins required to
convert the incoming energy into g-rays as with any energy exchange it is
patheticlly wasteful in conversion (50% loss).
