Ok, let me get this straight... you have no problem with these dead
bodies getting up, walking around, talking, shooting guns, having
friends, and using the occasional supernatural power, but you find it
(for want of a better term) unrealistic that they give off body heat? 
OK, if you want an excuse that works in game, just think about the
animating force here, the Manitou.  This is a demon, right?  From Hell,
right?  (OK, but only the Native Americans and Hucksters know it's the
Hunting Grounds, ask any priest out there where Demons um "live".) 
Maybe he just wants this chunk of meat he's hanging out in to be a bit
more homey. :)
