That's roughly how a Gun of Quality is defined in Law Dogs--I recall a bit about
a skilled gunsmith going through a pile of guns of a given make and mixing and
matching the best components of each to make a weapon that's superlative in all
components. The game effect is just +1 to hit, plus I think there's something
about it being a bit more durable and reliable that an ordinary firearm, though
I don't recall the mechanic for that, if any. Since the game effect of a Quality
weapon is about the same as the trigger mods and the cost is massively higher
(something like three times the base cost of the gun, as opposed to, I think,
$5-$15 extra) I'm not entirely sure what to think.

What exactly is a set trigger, mechanically? I know it gives a "smoother pull",
but how does it do that?

I'm working on an idea for a relic: a matched pair of .44 AutoMags, insanely
customized (ghost steel construction, tritium nightsights, integral recoil
suppressors, low-friction finish for quickdrawing, a left-handed ejection port
on one weapon, etc.), that were specially commissioned by an high-ranking Texas
Ranger operative before the war. They're an unbelievably sweet find for a
wasteland gunslinger who doesn't think too hard about why the last badass who
used them wasn't able to hold onto them...until the curse starts to take hold.
